Building gigawatt-scale offshore wind will be lousy for consumers, the oceans, offshore navigation, and marine life. Building 22 gigawatts (or more) of domestic offshore wind will require industrializing vast swaths of some of the most heavily fished and navigated waters on the Eastern Seaboard.
