Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) called out the show on Capitol Hill being put on by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

In an interview on Friday, Rogers blasted Pelosi’s insistence to keep the fencing up around the Capitol building and forcing National Guardsmen to stay on duty there.

Authorities suggested for weeks in court hearings and papers that members of the Oath Keepers militia group planned their attack on the Capitol in advance in an effort to block the peaceful transition of power. But prosecutors have since said it’s not clear whether the group was targeting the Capitol before Jan. 6, giving defense attorneys an opening to try to sow doubt in the government’s case. The Alabama Republican said the move to keep the razor wire between Americans and the Capitol building was strategic.

“That’s all theater that Nancy Pelosi is trying to create the impression that Republicans are dangerous and Trump was the cause of all of this. It’s silly,” Rogers stated.

Rogers added Pelosi is “out of control” as she is still making members of Congress walk through a metal detector on their way in, and taking $5,000 out of their paychecks automatically if they fail to comply.
