A new poll has found Trump-endorsed Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker was overwhelmingly in the lead of the GOP primary. A Trafalgar Group survey of likely primary voters, which was conducted this month, showed Walker topped the field with more than 75 percent of respondents support.

State Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black was in a distant second with around six percent support among likely GOP voters. Only about 13 percent of voters have said to remain undecided.

Walker, a former NFL star, announced his candidacy back in August and was endorsed earlier this month by President Trump.

“Herschel is tough on crime and borders, and he will always stand in support of law enforcement, military and our vets. He will fight hard for our Second Amendment and voter integrity,” Trump expressed in a released statement. “…Herschel Walker will never let you down. He has my complete and total endorsement.”

Walker is seeking to take on incumbent Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock (Ga.) in the 2022 midterms.
