Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is set to speak to a Pennsylvania Republican group, amid speculation the governor might make a presidential run in 2024.

This week, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported DeSantis will meet with and speak to GOP officials in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in May.

Pennsylvania is expected to be a battleground state in the 2024 presidential election, as well as the Senate and gubernatorial races next year.

The Florida governor notably finished first in a CPAC poll back in February, which did not include 45th President Trump.
